Jesse Kirkland

Jesse is a talented architect, project manager, planner, and designer with almost 20 years of experience. He has been involved in designing and planning a wide variety of schools and private developments. Jesse’s innovative and fresh approach includes real-time concepts, sketches, and 3D-printed models that ensure collaboration with clients. Jesse’s dedication to finding the right solution for clients is relentless and his ability to communicate design visually makes the collaborative process easy. 

Jesse holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Miami. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and certified by the National Council for Architectural Review Board (NCARB). 

Sandie Taunton

Sandie is a creative and detail-oriented architect with experience in all phases of educational, commercial, sustainable, and healthcare design. As a Project Manager and Senior Associate, her responsibilities include regulatory compliance review, programming, conceptual design, preliminary cost estimating, coordinating with engineering consultants, preparation of construction documents, bidding assistance, specifications writing, and material research.  

Sandie earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Mississippi State University and is LEED AP certified.  

Paul Ritz

As a Senior Associate at DAG, Paul brings over 25 years of architectural design and construction experience in projects ranging from under $100,000 to over $40 million. He has managed a variety of projects through schematic design and development, cost estimating, construction documents, and contract administration. He is a licensed contractor in Florida, as well, allowing for a depth and breadth of understanding of the building industry.  

Paul earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Detroit and a Master of Science in Construction Management from Florida International University. He is an Alabama and Florida registered architect and is LEED AP BD+C certified.  

Derek Salter

As a Senior Associate, Derek brings quiet confidence and technical expertise to projects in a variety of sectors, including universities, K-12 schools, offices, and community centers. Prior to joining DAG, Derek was co-founder and co-owner of MAD Architect Inc. in Pensacola, where he designed a variety of restoration, renovation, and new construction projects.  

Derek has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Mississippi State University and is a Green Globes Professional.  

Elizabeth Fleischhauer

Elizabeth is an architect with more than 10 years of experience in education, hospitality, commercial, and residential projects. As a detailed designer, she excels in construction documentation, specifications, project management, and construction administration. Elizabeth is a Florida native and has a unique understanding of the state’s varied geographies and how to create projects that thrive in their communities.

She has a Bachelor of Architecture degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami with minors in chemistry and political science. She is active in the American Institute of Architects Florida and Florida Northwest chapters. She is also a National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) certificate holder and a LEED Green Associate. As a WELL AP, Elizabeth is an advocate for human health and wellness strategies in the built environment.
