As Founding Principal of DAG Architects, Charlie is focused on a legacy of growth and talent development for the Firm and service to his community. He started DAG in 1981 with partner Sam Blimling in Destin, Florida. 

For over forty years, Charlie has delivered excellent design while serving his community in many capacities. He was elected a Destin City Councilman and Florida State Senator. Charlie has grown DAG into Northwest Florida’s largest design firm, with projects across the country and Caribbean. 

Charlie has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Auburn University. Prior to attending Auburn, he served in the US Navy as a Submariner. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).  Charlie was named an AIA Fellow in 2000.
