One Federal Place

Birmingham, Alabama

One Federal Place has played a significant role in revitalizing downtown Birmingham, Alabama. The 13-story, 310,000-square-foot office building sits on a five-level, 450-space podium parking structure. The building includes street-level retail and restaurant space to serve as an activator to pedestrian traffic.

The building's architectural influence stems from the neighboring historic Federal Reserve Bank Building. This federalist architectural style influenced the design of the new office tower and the base of the building. The historic bank is connected to the new office tower at street level with an urban pocket park. The building lobby is designed with a polished stone floor, wood veneer panels and a painting commissioned by a native Birmingham artist.
